OUR STORY

Our goal is to produce luxury apparel and accessories for the mature woman.

Our company started in 1995, as Spirit of Silk, producing a line of original handpainted silk fashion and home accessories. A full line of apparel samples was produced in 1998, paving the way for restructuring the company as an apparel company, serving the mature woman in the designer range.

In 2001, production resources were secured in Italy for hand-screened silk scarves in our original designs and the company was renamed Carmella D’Oro.

At this time, the company maintains a full time design studio in Santa Cruz, California and outsources all production, maintaining production partnerships with a network or dedicated and skilled craftsmen.

We produce print-driven high-end dressy sportswear for the mature woman, honoring her changing body and changing needs.

Our company is dedicated to producing youthful, dynamic and vital designs for this customer—using good fit, high quality fabric and beautiful colors and prints.
